Receive-side scaling
The Cisco UCS VIC supports RSS, and it can be enabled on a per-vNIC basis. RSS allows the incoming traffic to be spread across multiple CPU cores. The CPU cores can then pull the packets in parallel, helping improve the overall bandwidth to the server.
