VCF Upgrade Planner

Start from an existing VCF instance or from plain vSphere. Get the supported hop sequence or converge path, the bill of materials for every step, the component upgrade order, interoperability checks and the release notes, built from the live Broadcom Interoperability Matrix data that VMware publishes for its upgrade planner. Export the plan as Markdown or print it as a checklist.

Verify before production. Versions and supported paths come from the Broadcom Interoperability Matrix via VMware's data file; bills of materials for 5.2.x come from the release notes and for 9.x are derived from the matrix (the newest component build at or below the VCF build). The vSphere goals and their rules follow VMware's upgrade planner and the Broadcom "Converging" and "Import a workload domain" guides. Always confirm against the release notes and the Interop Matrix before a change record.

All three pick the shortest supported sequence; they differ only when several sequences have the same number of hops.

vCenter is required. NSX, VCF Operations, VCF Automation and VxRail narrow the available goals, as in VMware's planner.
