Configure once, get a one-shot installer that deploys an Apache or nginx offline software depot for VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x dark-site installs. The preview updates as you type: install script, vhost config, directory tree per Broadcom KB 312168, verification script, landing page, VCF Download Tool commands and an offline prep script.
Your data stays in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere; the scripts are built client-side. Treat a downloaded install.sh that contains API credentials as a secret.
Verify before production. The tree and commands follow KB 312168 and the VCF Download Tool 9.1 behaviour as of October 2026. Compare with your own vcf-download-tool output; SDDC Manager only needs https://FQDN:PORT/PROD/ to resolve, serve directory listings and (unless disabled) ask for basic auth.

Credentials will be embedded in install.sh. Do not commit it, do not paste it in chat, delete it after the deploy or rotate the token.
Stage your certificate on the depot host before running the installer: . The chain must be trusted by SDDC Manager / the VCF Installer, or import it there.
A self-signed certificate works for labs. SDDC Manager will show the certificate and ask you to accept it; for production use an internal CA (BYO) instead.
